Built in Kenosha?

[edit]

The 2.7 was built in AMC's home town of Kenosha? That's interesting. Any chance it was built in the old AMC plant? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Infinitrium (talkcontribs) Revision as of 19:22, 10 September 2006

Shouldn't this be in with the 3.5, 3.3, and 3.2 engines? They're all the same family.Davert (talk) 23:46, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oil Sludge

[edit]

I respectfully disagree with the recent edits to this & other related model pages that have removed all mention of the 2.7L V6 oil sludge defect. The issue has received widespread news coverage; there has been testimony about Chrysler oil sludge in front of Congress; there are five class action lawsuits pending.

Also regarding the most recent edit that resulted in: > Earlier models of these engines have known problems with the timing chain tensioner, which Chrysler revised in 2002.[3][4][5]

.. the three footnotes referenced do not support the preceding statement. Jmathis555 (talk) 18:15, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chrysler LH, Hyundai Delta engine and Rover KV6

[edit]

Are these engines related ? The Hyundai and Chrysler engines have the same bore and capacity which seems a bit coincidental.

The Rover KV6 was used in the Kia Carnival, and then a 2.7L V6 was installed which seems very similar in design. And Chrysler just happened to produce a similar engine at the same time.

They even have the same problems ; oil sludge accumulation.203.26.122.12 (talk) 05:31, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
